Job Description

We are looking for a LifePro Developer to join a team in West Des Moines, Iowa in a contract-to-permanent position. This position is suited for a senior-level engineer who brings strong back-end development experience and enjoys building reliable solutions within insurance and policy administration environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, collaborating with peers, and using modern AI-enabled tools to improve development speed, quality, and decision-making.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and enhance back-end applications using C# and .NET to support business-critical policy administration functions.
  • Maintain and improve solutions connected to LifePro and mainframe-based systems, ensuring dependable performance and long-term stability.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries and SQL Server components to support application functionality and data integrity.
  • Partner with technical leads and team members to evaluate development approaches and clearly communicate the reasoning behind implementation decisions.
  • Use Azure DevOps to manage assigned work, contribute to delivery planning, and support efficient software development practices.
  • Apply AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to streamline coding tasks, improve productivity, and explore better engineering outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate operational needs into practical technical solutions.
  • Support ongoing application maintenance, issue resolution, and enhancements for existing enterprise platforms.
  • Share ideas proactively with the team and contribute to a culture of open discussion, continuous improvement, and thoughtful problem-solving.
