Junior Software Engineer Location(s): Chicago, IL, US, 60654 RWE Supply & Trading Americas, LLC To start as soon as possible, full time , permanent RWE Supply & Trading is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to work in close partnership with leading technology teams and the commercial business. Our IT functions drive efficiency and innovation across RWE Supply & Trading. Right from the start, you can be part of it, working alongside experienced engineers, developers, analysts and business users to build technology solutions with real impact. As Junior Software Developer at RWE Supply & Trading, you will work in a tight-knit collaborative team to design, build and support a set of internal applications. Part of these responsibilities include writing and debugging code, so we are looking for applicants familiar with coding concepts and at least one high level programming language. Our stack is mainly .Net and Angular, so you should also be comfortable and willing to learn these technologies. Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with other developers and engineers to design, build, and maintain applications Build applications using common frameworks, such as .Net, Angular Write and debug code Troubleshoot software issues Requirements and Qualifications Basic understanding of at least one Object Oriented language Basic experience in front-end and back-end software development Fundamental understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. Advantageous, but not a must Previous internship experience or contributions to open-source projects.
