  • 4 days in office) The Role As part of a cross-functional squad, you'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers in building next-generation applications and tools used both within Morningstar and by external clients. In this role, you'll contribute across the full product lifecycle
  • from shaping user experiences and system architecture to building scalable services and delivering high-quality, production-ready features.
You'll primarily work with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as Vue3, Nuxt, and NestJS, while contributing to backend systems built with C#/.NET and SQL. This is a hands-on, end-to-end engineering role that includes: Building intuitive, performant user interfaces Designing and developing APIs and services Creating data visualizations for financial insights Writing automated tests and improving system reliability Contributing to infrastructure, monitoring, and operational excellence You'll also participate in a shared on-call rotation (approximately 2 weeks every 3 months). AI-Driven Engineering We are actively integrating AI across the software development lifecycle to improve speed, quality, and scalability.
This includes:
AI-assisted development to accelerate implementation Automated code reviews to improve consistency and maintainability Intelligent issue triage and prioritization Workflow automation to reduce manual overhead Exploration of emerging capabilities such as autonomous agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and AI-generated testing We're looking for engineers who are excited to experiment with and apply these technologies in real-world scenarios.
