As part of a growing engineering team, you will help develop next-generation collision mitigation technologies for Caterpillar construction products. You will design and deliver software solutions that integrate camera, radar, and intelligent sensing technologies to enhance machine safety, performance, and automation capabilities.What You Will Do:
Develop C++ software for collision mitigation systems used across Caterpillar construction products, operating within a Linux-based development environment. Design, integrate, and validate camera and radar-based perception features that help improve machine awareness, obstacle detection, and operator safety. Collaborate with a growing cross-functional team to deliver advanced autonomy-related capabilities, leveraging technologies such as ADAS principles andROS/ROS2
frameworks.What You Will Have:

Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.Technical Excellence:
Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.Software Development :
Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.Considerations For Top Candidates:
Strong experience developing C++ applications in a Linux environment. Background working with camera-based perception systems, computer vision technologies, or sensor integration. Experience with radar technologies, object detection, or collision avoidance systems. Experience with Automotive ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) Familiarity with ROS and/or ROS2 frameworks.Additional Information:
This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Mossville, IL or Irving, TX office. Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position. Visa sponsorship is NOT available with this position. This position will require up to 10% travel #LI Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $169,060.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
