A LabVIEW Development Engineer job in Rockford, IL is currently available through Belcan at one of our key aerospace clients. We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer with a focus on LabVIEW Software Development and a strong background in complex software application design, maintenance, and support. The development team supports all phases of product development from early requirements analysis, through design, to final product validation and verification.

Job Duties:

Develop software specifications based on internal product engineering requirements. Research, architect, build, and test production equipment software. Develop NI LabView software and test sequences using NI TestStand Develop technical documentation to support all software implementations. Ensure proper functioning of equipment through ongoing software support and maintenance. Lead and/or participate in software code reviews Read and interpret equipment and wiring schematics Demonstrate understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems for test or maintenance of parts or systems Gather and review data concerning equipment specifications, and company or customer requirements as required. Provides operators and technician training to ensure proper equipment use.

Required Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in computer science, 2 years of general software and 1 year of LabView development experience OR A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 2 years of LabView NI LabVIEW and/or TestStand experience. Experience with object-oriented software development in the LabView environment Experience LabView object-oriented software development Experience with C/C++, Python Strong understanding of software principles Must be U.S.

Citizen Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Experience in troubleshooting and repairing testing equipment Aerospace software development experience Understanding of Software Qualifications per DO-178

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $72,800
