Shambaugh & Son L.P. is looking for an IBM i / RPG Lead Developer. In this role you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our current IBM database. #shambaugh #LI-TS #LI-Onsite Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Design, develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform Serve as the technical lead for RPG development efforts Work independently on complex enhancements and production support Mentor junior developers Participate in application architecture, modernization efforts, and technical planning Support and improve long‑running, back office systems Other duties as requiredQualifications:
Extensive hands‑on IBM i experience (AS/400) Strong background inRPG / RPGLE
(free‑form preferred) Strong CL/CLLE skills Solid knowledge of IBM i (AS/400) DB2 and SQL Experience maintaining and enhancing accounting/costing systems Ability to work independently with minimal oversight Long‑term ownership mindset for legacy systems Experience integrating IBM i applications with other systems Familiarity with modern development practices (source control, documentation, coding standards) Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as requiredEqual Opportunity Employer:
