Job Description
Description The MI Solutions Architect is responsible for designing scalable, secure, and maintainable technical architectures that guide how Manufacturing Intelligence solutions are built and integrated across systems and environments. This role focuses on solution design, technical strategy, and governance, translating business and functional requirements into architecture frameworks, standards, and system designs. Architects define how systems interact, ensure alignment with enterprise standards, and guide implementation teams to deliver consistent, high-quality solutions. Responsibilities Business Partnership Participate in executive architecture reviews and strategic planning; present architectural recommendations; collaborate with customer IT, engineering, cybersecurity teams; serve as a trusted technical advisor. Solution Delivery Lead architecture efforts across multiple projects; review and approve designs; define reusable patterns; ensure consistency, cybersecurity, scalability, and maintainability across implementations. Technical Skills Define enterprise integration standards and data strategies; govern APIs, OPC UA, MQTT and industrial protocols; guide database architecture and information management to support analytics and reporting. Process Improvement Define architectural quality standards; establish CI/CD and automated testing expectations; promote automation, repeatability, and operational excellence; develop architectural health metrics. Leadership/Autonomy Mentor Architect I and specialists; establish mentoring programs; lead communities of practice; foster technical excellence, accountability and collaboration; participate in hiring and workforce planning.
