full-time Energy Source LLC is Smithfield, RI-based with additional offices in Taunton, MA and Westford, MA. The company specializes in energy efficiency project development and implementation including motors and variable frequency drives, building automation, transformer replacement, and heat pump HVAC. We are seeking a Mechanical Project Developer to join our growing team. About the Role In this role, you will assess and develop energy efficiency opportunities with a focus on HVAC, controls, and electrical power systems. You will work alongside experienced project and sales staff to deliver technically sound proposals and support customers from initial assessment through project completion. This position reports to the Vice President of Engineering. Responsibilities Audit commercial and industrial facilities of all sizes and develop energy efficiency opportunities Perform energy calculations and analyze potential savings Prepare customer-facing proposals, technical reports, and utility incentive program applications Coordinate with contractors and strategic partners through project development and execution Conduct field assessments and support measurement and verification of energy savings Serve as a technical resource alongside sales staff, building and maintaining strong customer relationships Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline with relevant coursework or internship experience in energy, building systems, or sustainability Familiarity with or demonstrated interest in energy efficiency measures and utility incentive programs (e.g., Mass Save, Rhode Island Energy, NH Saves) Ability to perform or learn energy calculations and interpret mechanical and electrical system specifications Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships simultaneously Knowledge of or exposure to project management principles and practices Ability to travel to client sites throughout New England Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. This is an entry-level position, best suited for candidates with 0-2 years of experience. That said, we welcome experienced candidates who think they'd be a great fit for our team to reach out. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $75,000-$88,000, commensurate with experience
