    Role:
    Serve as a primary technical driver for the deployment, commissioning, and operational stability of VulcanForms? industrial hardware infrastructure for its consumer technology business. This role owns equipment selection, installation, facility integration, and formal qualification across a diverse asset base, including industrial post-processing, automation, and metal additive manufacturing systems. You will help ensure machinery operates safely, reliably, and efficiently in a 24/7 production environment.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead the end-to-end deployment, site integration, and qualification of industrial manufacturing equipment
    • Execute installation qualification, operational qualification, and site acceptance testing protocols, including IQ, OQ, and SAT
    • Support qualification and validation activities, including PQ where applicable
    • Deploy and integrate metal 3D printers, vacuum and atmosphere heat treatment furnaces, depowdering systems, Wire EDM equipment, build plate resurfacing and milling machinery, and industrial cleaning lines
    • Lead equipment selection and procurement based on product capability, capacity, throughput, and reliability requirements
    • Design and integrate machine fixturing and workholding solutions
    • Serve as the primary technical contact for equipment manufacturers and OEMs
    • Manage equipment delivery schedules, technical installation requirements, commissioning activities, and major hardware troubleshooting
    • Define, monitor, and improve equipment level performance metrics
    • Drive initiatives to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness, uptime, and production capacity
    • Reduce Mean Time Between Failures and Mean Time To Repair
    • Investigate equipment failures, abnormal conditions, and recurring performance issues
    • Author standard operating procedures, preventative maintenance schedules, commissioning documentation, and facility integration logs
    • Develop equipment handoff packages for production operations and maintenance teams
    • Train production personnel to operate equipment safely and effectively
    • Collaborate with Facilities, EHS, Quality, and Process Engineering teams
    • Ensure equipment is safely integrated into factory layouts and enterprise data or SCADA networks
    • Communicate equipment readiness metrics, risks, and technical recommendations to leadership
    Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of progressive engineering experience managing complex equipment deployment, factory automation, or industrial machinery integration in a high stakes manufacturing environment
    • Documented experience executing formal equipment qualification protocols, including IQ, OQ, and PQ where applicable
    • Experience with site acceptance testing and equipment commissioning
    • Hands on familiarity with at least two major industrial equipment categories, such as CNC or EDM machining, vacuum, fluid, or pneumatic systems, high temperature thermal processing systems, robotic automation, or industrial chemical and clean processing systems
    • Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Robotics Engineering, or a related technical field
    • Strong project management and communication skills
    • Ability to manage vendor relationships and coordinate cross functional technical work
    • Ability to report machine readiness metrics, risks, and implementation status to leadership
