Job Description
Job Summary The Guidewire Lead Developer will be responsible for leading end-to-end development activities across Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations. The role involves client engagement, requirements gathering, solution design, development oversight, and team leadership. This position will guide the technical direction of projects, ensure alignment with client objectives, support integration with enterprise systems, and promote best practices in development and configuration. The role also contributes to continuous improvement by evaluating new technologies and recommending enhancements. Key Responsibilities Communicate with clients to gather requirements and provide progress updates. Conduct workshops and presentations to validate business needs and solution direction. Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Design functional and technical solutions aligned with client objectives. Participate in coding, configuration, and customization activities within Guidewire applications. Review and optimize code for performance, scalability, and adherence to standards. Collaborate with technical teams to integrate solutions with existing systems. Ensure compliance with development standards and best practices. Lead project teams, assign tasks, and monitor completion. Mentor developers and provide technical guidance. Act as a liaison between client stakeholders and technical teams. Support project planning, risk management, and issue resolution. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends. Recommend innovative solutions and process enhancements. Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and integration. Strong understanding of PolicyCenter data models and workflows. Proficiency in the GOSU programming language. Experience using Guidewire Studio and configuration tools. Knowledge of SOAP and REST web services for Guidewire integrations. Experience working with messaging, batch processes, and plugins. Familiarity with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server. Solid understanding of Java and object-oriented programming principles. Experience with Guidewire Cloud or containerized deployment environments such as Docker or Kubernetes. Experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins. Strong communication and team collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting automated build and deployment pipelines. Exposure to large-scale enterprise system integrations. Certifications Relevant Guidewire certifications
