Elite Technical is seeking a Sr Java Developer who has supported a Healthcare Claims System. This Java developer role operates in a cloud-based environment and requires experience with relevant tools and technologies, including Kubernetes and Jenkins.

Core Responsibilities:

• The Senior Developer will support a custom system built from the ground up and organized into use cases.
• The role includes identifying technical risks, developing mitigation strategies, and recommending industry best practices and standards for the project.
• The developer will work with stakeholders and technical and analytical partners to define constraints and develop requirements and concept-of-operations documentation. This position is primary remote but does require 2 onsite visits per month at our clients Baltimore MD office. This position also requires a final round F2F interview in Baltimore as well. Required Skills

• Experience and Education:

  Eight years of Java Software design, development, testing experience is required.
• A bachelor's degree is required; candidates without a bachelor's degree must have four additional years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience in the insurance or healthcare industry, supporting a CLAIMS system, is required. Claims experience and knowledge of how claims are processed, priced, adjudicated.

• Required Technologies:

  Kubernetes, Jenkins, Oracle, SQL, Salesforce, Jira, AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Jenkins in a AWS cloud environment is required
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A proactive mindset for identifying risks and recommending solutions
