Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to support a critical federal program at the Social Security Administration. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring deep full-stack expertise and a passion for building scalable, high-performance systems. The Role You will serve as a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and improving enterprise software applications. You will work across the full stack, contribute to cloud and DevOps initiatives, and help mentor the engineers around you. What We Are Looking For 10 or more years of software engineering experience with strong Java and full-stack skills Proficiency in one or more modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React Solid understanding of cloud platforms, microservices, and CI/CD practices Experience working on Agile teams in complex enterprise environments Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams Federal or government IT experience is a plus Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance Must be willing to work on-site five days per week in Woodlawn, MD
