We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join an established custom automation manufacturer specializing in turnkey assembly systems and special-purpose automation for medical, defense, electronics, consumer, and industrial applications.

This role is responsible for developing automation concepts, estimating project costs, and creating technical proposals while partnering closely with Sales and customers. The ideal candidate can understand a customer's manufacturing challenge, develop a practical automation solution, determine the appropriate equipment and technology, and confidently communicate the proposed solution.
Job Duties:
Develop concepts and technical solutions for custom automation projectsCreate project estimates, quotations, and technical descriptionsWork directly with customers and support the Sales team throughout the quoting processCollaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, and engineering teamsEvaluate automation requirements, equipment, robotics, and processesManage multiple quoting opportunities simultaneously
Qualifications:
5+ years of Applications Engineering experience preferred10+ years of automation experience preferredStrong knowledge of custom automation and automated equipmentProven customer-facing and communication skillsExperience with project estimating and developing automation conceptsMechanical or Electrical Engineering background preferredAssociate degree or equivalent technical experienceRobotics, machine vision, assembly automation, or material handling experience is a plus Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
