Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a versatile Systems Developer to join our integrated Software and Dev team. This is a unique, "cross-bread" role designed for a technologist who hates silos. You won't just be writing code; you will be a key contributor to a team responsible for the entire technological nervous system of our manufacturing facility—ranging from IT administration and custom ERP development to shop-floor Controls programming. As our team evolves, a primary focus of this role will be the implementation of AI-driven efficiencies . You will help build and deploy intelligent shortcuts and automated workflows that streamline our internal processes, making our manufacturing operation faster, smarter, and more data-driven. Key Responsibilities1. ERP & Custom Software Development Collaborate with the dev team to build, maintain, and optimize our proprietary manufacturing software. Develop full-stack solutions to improve resource planning, scheduling, and real-time production tracking. Write clean, scalable code that integrates seamlessly with our existing internal databases. 2. Controls Development & Design Assist in the design and programming of machine controls (PLCs, HMIs, and IoT devices). Bridge the gap between hardware and software by ensuring production equipment communicates effectively with our core systems. Troubleshoot and refine logic to improve machine uptime and data accuracy. 3. IT Administration & Infrastructure Contribute to the administration and security of our internal IT network and server environments. Ensure high availability of the systems that power our manufacturing floor. Support the deployment of new hardware and software across the organization. 4. AI Implementation & Process Automation Identify opportunities to integrate AI and Machine Learning to automate repetitive tasks and data analysis. Develop "shortcuts" and automated scripts to reduce manual overhead for internal teams. Research and test new AI tools that can be embedded into our custom manufacturing software.
Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Versatility:
Professional experience in full-stack software development (e.g., C#, Python, .NET, or SQL).
Systems Thinking:
Ability to move fluidly between high-level software coding and low-level hardware/controls logic.
Problem Solving:
A "find a way" mentality when it comes to integrating disparate systems.
Collaboration:
Strong communication skills to work within a tight-knit team and interface with production staff.
Education/Experience:
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience in a manufacturing-tech environment. The Ideal Candidate You are a "Swiss Army Knife" developer. You might spend the morning debugging a SQL query, the afternoon tweaking a PLC program on the shop floor, and the evening experimenting with an AI API to automate a reporting workflow. You are excited by the prospect of a role that evolves as fast as the technology does. What We Offer The chance to work on a truly integrated tech stack (Hardware + Software + AI). A collaborative team environment where your input directly impacts production. Opportunity to lead the charge in adopting AI within a traditional manufacturing setting.
