SUMMARY The Sales Application Engineer plays a critical part in providing technical expertise throughout the entire engineered-to-application development process to drive innovative solutions and actively contributes to the sales process of custom bulk material handling equipment and integrated systems designed, engineered, and built by National Bulk Equipment (NBE).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Engage in comprehensive discussions with customers to understand their specific requirements and challenges. Engage with the Applications Engineering team members and inside sales resources to provide guidance and consultation on the best approaches and solutions to meet customers' needs. Prepare pricing and a detailed proposal for the solution once defined. Act as a subject-matter expert representing the company during presale demonstrations, testing, and trade show exhibitions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in engineering (mechanical preferred) is preferred. 3+ years in an industrial process equipment environment is required. Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, conveyance equipment, mass flow storage designs is required. Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing systems and with controls architecture and PLC based machine controls is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts and sales advantages to diverse audiences to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, is required.
