Job Description

Harman Becker Automotive Systems, Inc. seeks Senior Principal Engineer in Novi, MI.

Duties:

Define end to end connectivity architecture for 2wheelers, 4wheelers, and autonomous vehicles covering TCU, modem, RF, sensors, and cloud systems. Translate OEM requirements into system specifications and cross domain technical interfaces. Lead design decisions for 4G/5G, GNSS, WiFi, Bluetooth, V2X, and telematics features across all vehicle types. Coordinate with HW, SW, RF, modem, cybersecurity, and backend/cloud teams for system integration. Ensure compliance with carrier, regulatory, cybersecurity, and functional safety (ISO 26262) requirements. Support integration, validation, and system level debugging for connectivity and mobility issues. Define OTA, diagnostics, and data architecture for connected vehicle platforms. Drive connectivity roadmaps for current and next gen platforms, including autonomous systems. Guide teams through design reviews, technical tradeoffs, and system level problem solving for connected vehicle features. Provide executive level communication, risk management, and stakeholder alignment across multiple vehicle programs.
