Based in Rockford, MI, our team is dedicated to supporting customers with state-of-the-art engineering and technology-driven solutions.Role Description Summary:
The application engineer works with the Sales Engineer/Account Manager to provide solutions for customer needs. Provides technical expertise to customize quotes/projects to ensure proper costing. Uses creativity in applying engineering principles to provide customer solutions. Intervenes when customer equipment requires troubleshooting methods/techniques.Essential Job Functions:
Create customer specific layouts and quotes for equipment solutions. Follow IPM standards to oversee all phases of project lifecycles; initiation, planning, execution and closure. Define technical approaches to projects. Determine project scope requirements at time of quote and successfully communicate the project details of what was sold at time of customer PO to IPM internal teams through Application Sign off. Demonstrate product features with presentations or on-site instruction. Troubleshoot equipment when reliability concerns arise. Other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications:
1-3 years project management experience preferred Technical aptitude Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, edrawings Familiarity with construction sitesEducational Requirements:
Bachelor of Arts or Science degree with an Engineering background is preferred or equivalent experience.Travel Requirements:
Travel is required; approximately 25% percent.Physical Requirements:
Standing and sitting for extended periods of time Frequently moves equipment 50+ lbs around facilities for various needs Training onHazardous Materials Professional Certifications:
