Job Description
The Principal Architect specializing in Modern Work & Collaboration serves as a technical leader, responsible for designing, advocating, and implementing sophisticated Modern Work & Collaboration solutions for Logicalis clients across various industries and organizational scales. The Principal Architect works closely with internal teams and clients to develop resilient, scalable architectures that are incorporated into the company's portfolio to meet client objectives. This position brings expert guidance to large, complex projects, with primary duties involving customer engagement, solution development, sales enablement, and effective collaboration with delivery teams.\n\nServes as the technical authority for Logicalis' Collaboration and Modern Work solutions with primary focus on Cisco Collaboration technologies, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Webex Calling, Webex Contact Center, and Collaboration Devices, with secondary focus on Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nSales Enablement & Customer Advisory\n\n
- Serves as a senior technical seller and advisor for governance-related customer engagements.\n\n
- Partners with Sales to shape deals, influence strategy, and articulate governance value in early-stage customer conversations.\n\n
- Enables Sales and Architects with clear, outcome-focused governance narratives, positioning guidance, and use-case-driven storytelling.\n\n
- Leads or supports executive-level customer discussions, workshops, and roadmap conversations related to data governance and information protection.\n\n
- Raises governance fluency across Solution and Field Architects, ensuring they can confidently sell-not just deliver-governance solutions.\n\n
- Provides architectural oversight and escalation in support of deal success and customer confidence.\n\n
- Ensures consistency across sales, delivery, and managed services teams while keeping customer-facing messaging simple, practical, and commercial\n\nCustomer Engagement\n\n
- Engages seamlessly with Sales and Delivery teams to support pursuit and transition of complex collaboration engagements.\n\n
- Acts as the technical authority for Cisco Collaboration-led solutions, including enterprise calling, contact center, and device strategies. Will provide oversight for multi practice engagement on large complex opportunities.\n\n
- Participates in consultative and transformational sales opportunities and executive-level customer engagements.\n
- Provides input to account planning for strategic accounts and reviews collaboration architectures, pricing, and Statements of Work (SOWs).\n\n
- Prepares for and conducts proofs of concept (POC) and proofs of value (POV).\n\nSolution & Offering Development\n\n
- Develops and evolves Cisco-centric collaboration offerings including CUCM, Webex Calling, Webex Contact Center, and collaboration devices.\n\n
- Incorporates Microsoft 365 into coexistence and hybrid collaboration strategies where appropriate.\n\n
- Aligns with OEM partners to support offering definition, lifecycle management, and roadmap alignment.\n\n
- Develops assessments, workshops, and consulting offerings for Modern Work & collaboration solutions.\n\nEnablement\n\n
- Provides technical enablement, architecture standards, sales materials, and training for collaboration offerings.\n\n
- Enables Solution Architects and Business Solution Consultants to position Cisco Collaboration and Microsoft integration scenarios effectively.\n\nDelivery Support\n\n
- Develops SOW templates and supports delivery teams to ensure successful service execution.\n\n
- Conducts assessments and workshops and feeds delivery lessons learned back into offering improvements.\n\nPractice Leadership\n\n
- Maintains a culture of learning and tracks industry trends related to collaboration and hybrid work.\n\n
- Acts as an internal advisor influencing technical direction and practice strategy.\n\nGeneral \n\n
- Demonstrates and actively promotes an understanding and commitment to the mission of Logicalis through performing behaviors consistent with the organization's values.\n\n
- Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of Logicalis to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behaviors.\n\n
- Supports and conducts self in a manner consistent with customer service expectations.
Education:
\n\n- Bachelor's Degree in related field.\n\n Experience / Technical Requirements\n\n
- 7+ years in pre-sales, consulting, or architectural roles focused on enterprise collaboration technologies.\n\n
- Deep experience with Cisco Collaboration platforms including CUCM, Webex Calling, Webex Contact Center, and collaboration devices.\n\n
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams including integration and coexistence scenarios.\n\n Certifications\n\n
- Cisco Collaboration certifications (CCNP or CCIE Collaboration preferred).\n\n
- Cisco Webex Calling or Webex Contact Center certifications.\n\n
- Microsoft Teams or Modern Work certifications preferred.\n\nOther Skills, Characteristics and Abilities \n\n
- Self led, naturally curious, constantly learning, ability to capture thoughts in writing, team player, ability to express technical opinion\n\n
- Ability to travel 25%-50%\n\n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where organizational skills are essential.\n\n
- Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people will understand; ability to provide understanding of how proposed solution will solve client's business needs, requirements and problems.\n\n
- Ability to have business level conversation with IT technical customers and C-level executives alike and assist them in deploying solutions to meet business requirements.\n\n
- Fluency in formulating and expressing thoughts and ideas.\n\n
- Outstanding oral, written, and technical/business communication skills.\n\n
- Strong technical and customer interaction skills. \n\n
- Ability to multi-task and accommodate requests from multiple clients and from Logicalis pre-sales, delivery and sales teams.
