Your Opportunity:
The Software Developer II will work within the development team to be responsible for creating applications used to process high volumes of customer-supplied data and pre-composed components into documents. The developer will work on integrations with a variety of third-party document composition systems, data cleansing and validation systems, and ERP systems. This role involves client facing responsibilities to explain technology options, points of integration, and defining and explaining level of effort estimates.
Responsibilities and duties:
Designs and creates software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements and external customers Creates test plans and unit tests and executes those for applications Reviews test plans for less experienced staff to ensure coverage and completeness Follows code review and testing processes, procedures, and plans. Write documentation in code and in issue tracking systems that supports other team members Researches, evaluates and recommends software components and third-party programs Maintains, fixes and enhances existing software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements and external customers Produces clean, efficient code based on coding standards Follows safe data handling practices and processes Follows secure coding practices Establishes and follows Quality guidelines and procedures Communicates status to stakeholders Works under minimal supervision and has a fair amount of autonomy in work activities Responsible for mentoring less experienced staff Expected to understand the business needs and priorities Off hours and on call duties as necessary Understand that issues are going to happen. Maintain positivity while supporting others in an environment built on "No blame, no shame, no fear" Be calm and considered during stressful situations with the ability to balance workload while managing multiple priorities. Responsible to confer with internal and external technical contacts regarding how to resolve system issues and resolve moderately complex job failures. Leverage Vendor support channels Qualifications and skills: Bachelor's Information Technology or equivalent experience required 8+ year's experience in software development Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary Strong attention to detail Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude Excellent oral and written communication Must be authorized to work in the U.S Customer service orientation with high degree of professionalism and strong interpersonal skills including influencing and collaboration skills To be successful, the role requires the following skills and abilities: Proven technical and leadership skills Customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills especially influencing and collaboration skills Strong analytical and problem resolution skills Adaptability and flexibility Ability to learn quickly Excellent teamwork skills Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority Adaptable and flexible in complex situations with ability to navigate through conflict with positive outcomes Must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently Critical thinking and analytical skills to solve complex issues The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $ 95,000-110,000 . The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employees.
