Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Applications Engineer with deep expertise in Multi-Axis and Swiss machining (plus solid Lathe knowledge) to drive process optimization, application development, and technical excellence across our aerospace operations. If you thrive on taking complex aerospace components from CAD/CAM model to perfect execution, this is your next career move.
What You'll Do Process & Application Development:
Design, validate, and optimize advanced machining processes for complex aerospace parts across multi-axis mills, Swiss machines, and CNC lathes.
Tooling & Setup Strategy:
Define cutting conditions, select high-performance tooling, and design work-holding solutions to hit tight quality, cost, and throughput targets.
Continuous Improvement & Cycle Reduction:
Identify cycle-time reductions, reduce scrap, and introduce automation, digital manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 solutions.
Quality & Compliance:
Ensure full adherence to AS9100, ITAR, and customer specs; support FAIs, PPAPs, and lead root-cause corrective actions.
What We're Looking For Machining Expertise:
Extensive background with Swiss CNC and Multi-Axis - CNC equipment.
Core Competencies:
Strong mastery of
GD&T, CAD/CAM
(Mastercam, NX, CATIA, or similar), G-code, tooling selection, and process documentation.
Aerospace & ERP Experience:
Familiarity with
AS9100/ITAR
standards and ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience) paired with 2-5+ years of dedicated CNC Applications Engineering background. Why Join Us? $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
