Job Description:
Java Microservices Engineer We are seeking a Java Application Development Engineer Design, develop, and support Java-based microservices using Spring Boot Participate in technical requirements gathering and solution design discussions Build and maintain RESTful APIs for enterprise-scale systems Support incident triage, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution during onshore hours Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Credit Card Processing Systems organization Ensure application security, performance, and scalability standards are met Required Technical Skills Core Java- Strong knowledge of OOP principles, collections, exception handling, and multithreading Spring Boot
- Experience building RESTful services using auto-configuration and dependency injection Java Microservices
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining microservice architectures Spring Data JPA & Hibernate
- ORM mapping, repository patterns, and query optimization Spring Security
- Implementing authentication and authorization (JWT and/or OAuth2) API Development
- RESTful API design and documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI Databases
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL technologies (MongoDB, Redis) Testing
- Unit and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito, and Spring Test DevOps/CI-CD
- Maven or Gradle, Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes Nice to Have Basic frontend integration experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular or React Monitoring and performance tuning experience using tools such as Prometheus, ELK stack, or application profiling tools Additional Information Onsite role based in Hopkins, MN EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
