  • Your role and responsibilities
  • To unlock Confluent's full potential, we're growing our Continuous Delivery tooling team—an essential group responsible for powering the automation behind Confluent Cloud service delivery.
This is a high-impact, strategic investment area that directly improves R D engineering productivity, strengthens compliance, and accelerates our operational maturity at scale.

We're looking for software engineers who are excited about building mission-critical internal platforms and who care deeply about the developer experience. If you're passionate about engineering productivity, system reliability, and high-quality delivery, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful, company-wide impact.

What You'll Do
  • Design and build scalable Golang-based tooling that enables Confluent Cloud teams to deliver software safely, securely, and efficiently
  • Own and drive end-to-end execution of complex projects in production environments, with a strong focus on quality and reliability
  • Apply industry best practices and modern design patterns to create innovative, best-in-class solutions
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders, bringing a customer-first mindset to support a wide range of use cases and teams
  • Required technical and professional expertise
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or cloud networking
  • Strong foundation in systems design, development, and low-level concepts (OS, networking, storage)
  • Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems
  • Proficiency in Go, C++, Python, or other statically typed languages
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Experience working on developer productivity tooling
