This role is perfect for a professional who thrives on managing product lifecycles, navigating intricate technical hurdles, and fostering direct client relationships. You will serve as the internal advocate for the customer while effectively showcasing our technical expertise to external partners. Core Responsibilities Act as the central point of contact for technical matters between OEM clients and our internal development teams. Help ensure total client satisfaction by translating their needs into actionable internal requirements and presenting our technical solutions clearly. Oversee system engineering tasks from the initial pursuit phase through to final production and ongoing support. Facilitate the success of program deliverables by coordinating diverse engineering teams to manage validation, prototyping, and client needs. Maintain comprehensive records, including technical requirements, bills of material, and essential engineering documentation. Drive the creation of critical engineering documents such as DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation reports to ensure product integrity. Lead technical dialogues with clients regarding product durability, performance metrics, and quality-related engineering updates. Contribute to hands-on activities, including prototype assembly and the identification of root causes for corrective actions. Assist in maintaining production stability by addressing and resolving manufacturing or quality-related product challenges. Determine the necessary validation testing and analysis required for product modifications and value engineering projects. Verify and authorize engineering documentation to support the successful submission of PPAP requirements. Foster collaboration across manufacturing, quality, and purchasing departments to guarantee seamless program execution. Manage engineering resource planning and provide consistent updates on program status and activities. Improve team efficiency by leading structured problem-solving efforts using frameworks like 8D or DMAIC. Help maintain a safe and compliant working environment by adhering to all internal quality and environmental standards. Complete other duties as required. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required; a Master's degree is viewed as a plus. At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, product development, or technical project management; those with a Master's degree and 3 years of experience are also encouraged to apply. Proven ability to manage client-facing engineering tasks and cultivate professional relationships. Demonstrated success in guiding cross-functional teams through complex technical projects. Solid grasp of mechanical design principles, manufacturing workflows, and validation techniques. Familiarity with CAD tools and the application of GD&T standards. Background in thermal management, rotating equipment, or automotive/industrial applications is highly desirable. Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities to resolve complex issues. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical presentations and interpersonal interactions. Competency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Project and Excel. Ability to handle competing priorities and work autonomously in a dynamic setting. Openness to travel for project support, customer meetings, and testing requirements.
