Position Summary
POSITION SUMMARY
The Applications Engineer is responsible for understanding field applications, systems design, and customer product development & enhancement. This role will focus on creating new opportunities and maintains business by providing design directions. Will also provide market needs analysis and direction. Leads projects with key accounts in growth initiatives. Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides advanced technical expertise on application solutions. Responsible for adapting current and new application and system solutions to customer needs and expectations. Responsible, in conjunction with design and manufacturing, to develop new and/or revised solutions according to customer requirements. Develops and leads required technical training both internally and externally. Develops and maintain comprehensive and advanced knowledge of the competitive landscape. Proactively finds needs int he marketplace for innovating applications & systems solutions and communicates strong business case to the Division Engineering organizations. Working closely with customers, investigate market needs for innovative products, and communicates them to Engineering for product development. As a trusted advisor, provides premier customer experience through network/relationship building and work towards continuous improvement. Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
4-Year College degree. BS Preferred. 5-7 years sales, manufacturing or Engineering experience, preferably within a Manufacturing division.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change to technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent mechanical comprehensions with the ability to understand, describe, or discuss problems of a technical nature. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and make sound recommendations.
