Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled
SAP ABAP
Developer for a 12-month contract opportunity supporting SAP application development and EDI integration initiatives in a large enterprise environment in Huntersville, NC. This onsite role is ideal for an SAP technical professional with hands-on ABAP development experience, strong IDOC and EDI troubleshooting skills, and the ability to support business-critical systems in a fast-paced production environment. This opportunity offers the chance to work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, trading partners, and technical teams to deliver reliable SAP solutions that support order management, supply chain, distribution, and Order-to-Cash operations. Candidates can expect a collaborative work environment with supportive leadership, cross-functional teamwork, and exposure to meaningful enterprise SAP projects, enhancements, and production support activities. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, enhance, and support
SAP ABAP
programs, reports, interfaces, forms, and related technical objects.
  • Support EDI integrations and IDOC processing, including inbound and outbound transaction troubleshooting.
  • Debug SAP system issues, identify root causes, and deliver timely technical resolutions.
  • Work with vendors, trading partners, and third-party EDI providers to support accurate data exchange.
  • Support
SAP SD/MM
modules and Order-to-Cash business processes within a production environment.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams on SAP implementations, enhancements, and ongoing support needs. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay rate: $56 to $60 per hour.
  • Job type: Contract/Temporary.
  • Assignment length: 12 months.

  • Work arrangement: Onsite. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Develop and enhance
SAP ABAP
objects, including reports, interfaces, forms, and integration-related components.
  • Support EDI transactions, IDOC processing, and SAP integration troubleshooting.
  • Participate in SAP enhancements, production support, and implementation-related activities.
  • Collaborate with business users, vendors, and technical teams to deliver SAP solutions aligned with business needs.
  • 3 to 5+ years of hands-on
SAP ABAP
development experience in SAP ECC 6.0 or higher.
  • Experience supporting SAP implementations, enhancements, and production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ABAP development tools and technologies, including IDOCs, RFCs, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Smart Forms, and SAP Scripts.
  • Experience integrating EDI transactions with SAP and supporting EDI mapping initiatives.
  • Knowledge of SAP SD and SAP MM modules.
  • Experience troubleshooting inbound and outbound EDI and IDOC processes.
  • Understanding of SAP Order-to-Cash business processes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with at least one full lifecycle SAP ECC implementation.
  • Experience working with third-party EDI mapping services or EDI processing partners.
  • Familiarity with EDI transaction sets 850, 855, 846, 856, and 810.
  • Experience writing SQL queries.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, or order management environments.
  • Knowledge of SAP integration and middleware best practices.
