Job Description
Senior Software Engineer Location:
Nashua, NH Pay Rate:
$78.29 Contract to Hire - 1st Shift, 9/80Hours:
8am - 5pm Contractor benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, 401k This position requires an active US Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) Senior Software Engineer C++Skills Required:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of embedded C++ (fulltime) experience - min 3 yrs.
- Windows and/or Linux Experience - min 3 yrs.
Experience Preferred:
- Electronic Warfare Exp (preferred, not required) -min 2 yrs.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, related.
REQUIREMENTS
- Our client requires that candidates must have an active/current DoD Secret Personnel Clearance (PCL) to start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline, and 3 plus years of direct related experience.
- High motivation to solve problems and continuously improve existing products.

- Desire to contribute to a results-oriented product development team.
- Solid understanding of software development processes for real-time embedded applications.
- Strong verbal and written technical communication skills.
- Ability to work well with a diverse team.
- Experience working with software engineering processes.
- Software requirements and architectural skills with functional decomposition, subsystem interface definition, technology application, and analysis.
- Experience with real-time embedded hardware systems.
- Experience with Eclipse, Jira, and DOORS, Git/Bitbucket.
- Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation.
- Experience developing on Windows/Unix/Linux Operating Systems.
- High-level Object-Oriented language proficiency (e.g. modern C++).
- Experience using scripting languages, such as Python or Bash.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills that translate to working software.
- Proficient with source code control tools.
DUTIES:
- Duties include analyzing, designing, coding and code modification (typically in C++) of complex software designs for simple systems or subsystems or subsystems of larger systems.
- You will be evaluating complex software designs to identify design flaws.
- You will be preparing design documentation, in accordance with established processes.
- You will utilize either a Windows or Linux based software development environment. Embedded targets could range from ARM through high-performance x86-64 CPUs and Graphics Processing Units (GPUs).
- You will be integrating and testing in the selected target test environments.
