The successful candidate will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable enterprise applications using modern Java, Spring Boot, Angular, microservices, containerization, and DevSecOps technologies. This position will collaborate closely with architects, platform engineers, test organizations, system integration teams, product owners, and other E-IDS development teams to deliver high-quality, integrated software solutions in an Agile development environment. Salary is based on relevant years of experience : $100,000 - $110,000 Job Duties & Responsibilities - Essential Job Functions may include (but are not limited to) the following: The following duties are considered essential to the role. Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable full-stack applications supporting the FAA Enterprise Information Display System (E-IDS). Develop and enhance back-end services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture. Build and maintain responsive front-end user interfaces using Angular or comparable modern web technologies. Collaborate with architects, platform engineers, DT Test, system integration, product owners, and other E-IDS development teams to deliver integrated software solutions. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize applications across development, integration, and test environments. Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to software quality, maintainability, and secure coding practices. Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, containerized deployments, and DevSecOps practices. Create and maintain technical documentation, including design artifacts, implementation notes, and operational documentation. Analyze and resolve software defects, performance issues, and integration challenges. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives involving software development processes, tools, quality, and maintainability. Required Qualifications - A successful candidate will have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or another related technical discipline. Eight (8) or more years of professional software development experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications. Demonstrated experience developing applications using Java and the Spring Boot framework. Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures. Experience developing modern, responsive web applications using Angular or a comparable JavaScript/TypeScript framework. Experience working with relational databases and SQL. Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar technologies. Experience developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift. Experience working within Agile software development teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies. Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing enterprise applications across development, integration, and test environments. Demonstrated experience supporting FAA software development programs, systems, or operational environments. Current FAA contractor credentials/badge, or the ability to obtain and maintain the credentials required for assignment to the FAA program. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting FAA or other Federal Government software development programs. Experience developing cloud-native applications using OpenShift or Kubernetes platforms. Experience implementing secure software development and DevSecOps practices. Experience with Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and distributed microservices architectures. Experience working with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ or similar message brokers. Experience using Elasticsearch or other enterprise search technologies. Experience working with PostgreSQL or other enterprise relational database platforms. Experience participating in software architecture activities, technical design reviews, and code reviews. Experience mentoring junior developers and providing technical leadership. Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering, testing, and system integration teams.

Occasional lifting of equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required during installations or maintenance.

Ability to move around the office environment to access computer hardware, networking equipment, and server rooms.

Dexterity:

Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks requiring precision.

Sitting/Standing:

Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues. Compensation (Pay Bands) Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40 hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of LSTs total compensation package for employees.
