Lambda Full Job Description firstPRO is seeking a Lead Java Engineer to support and enhance a digital platform. This role combines hands-on software development with technical leadership, focusing on building scalable, high-performing web applications using Java, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and AWS. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across complex initiatives, guide architecture and design decisions, mentor engineering teams, and help ensure platform reliability, performance, security, and adherence to modern engineering best practices. Key Responsibilities Lead architecture and technical design decisions aligned with enterprise standards and business objectives. Provide technical leadership across multiple concurrent initiatives involving internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders. Lead the development and enhancement of scalable Java/AEM applications and services. Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews while promoting strong engineering standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and platform issues across Java, AEM, and AWS environments. Mentor engineers and promote best practices in development, testing, deployment, and cloud engineering. Required Qualifications 8+ years of Java development experience, including Spring Boot, multithreading, generics, collections, and design patterns. 4+ years of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience, including on-premises AEM or AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS). 3+ years of AWS/cloud computing experience. Strong understanding of microservices architecture and best practices for building scalable, resilient, and maintainable applications on AWS. Experience developing web applications and web services Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for Java applications deployed in AWS environments. Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, ES5/ES6, and front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js. Experience with build and dependency management tools such as Maven or Gradle. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, including story creation, estimation, backlog refinement, and sprint ceremonies. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, ECS, ECR/Docker, Elastic Beanstalk, VPC, CloudFormation, IAM, S3, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, and Elastic Load Balancing. Experience with enterprise CI/CD and build automation tools, including GitHub Actions. Experience providing technical mentorship and leading engineering teams through complex platform initiatives.

Pay:

$140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per hour
