Job Description
Develops, integrates, tests, and supports embedded system software and communication applications across Linux, Windows, and real-time operating system environments. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with 4+ years of relevant software engineering experience. Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with 2+ years of relevant software engineering experience may also qualify. Bachelor's degree required. Advanced proficiency with C++. Experience with object-oriented software development. Experience developing embedded real-time software in Linux or VxWorks environments. Experience with high-performance and multi-threaded programming. Experience with programming languages, compilers, and application execution environments. Experience developing and troubleshooting software on embedded targets. Experience with embedded systems design and real-time operating systems. U.S. citizenship required. Ability to pass a background check. Active Secret security clearance required. Preferred Skills Experience supporting Department of Defense programs. Working knowledge of signal processing. Working knowledge of control systems. Working knowledge of computer networking. Knowledge of IP, UDP, TCP, and IPsec protocols. Experience with software and hardware integration. Experience developing technical documentation, test plans, and test procedures. Experience supporting software bids, proposals, or government requests for proposal. Job Responsibilities Develop software for embedded devices and communication systems from requirements through production and support. Perform software requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing. Develop object-oriented software using C++. Develop and support software for Linux, Windows, and embedded real-time operating systems. Integrate software with embedded hardware components and system interfaces. Develop and support high-performance and multi-threaded software applications. Troubleshoot software issues on embedded targets. Develop software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation. Participate in peer reviews and software verification activities. Identify, track, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects. Support system-level integration and testing with systems and test engineering functions. Contribute to operational performance requirements and system design activities. Support software estimates, bids, and technical proposal inputs. Provide software engineering support throughout the full software development life cycle. #
DoD Pay:
