Insight Global Keyword Location Search view all jobs Full Stack Developer Newark, NJ Posted 18 days ago Apply Now Job Description Our client, Prudential, is seeking a Full Stack Developer to support a portfolio of application modernization, cloud migration, and digital transformation initiatives within their Individual Life Insurance Technology organization. This individual will join a high-performing engineering team responsible for modernizing customer and producer-facing applications, API platforms, and observability capabilities. The role is heavily focused on front-end development while still requiring strong back-end engineering skills and cloud experience. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance modern web applications using React. Build and maintain scalable backend services using Java Spring Boot and/or Node.js. Support application modernization initiatives and cloud-based deployments. Contribute to API development and migration efforts, including platform modernizations. Assist with monitoring, observability, performance optimization, and production support. Collaborate with architects, product teams, and engineers to deliver new business capabilities. Participate in code reviews, testing, and release activities following modern software engineering practices. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of full stack development experience. Strong recent experience developing applications with React. Experience building backend services using Java Spring Boot and/or Node.js. Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS preferred). Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservices architectures. Experience supporting applications within Agile development environments. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

AWS services experience such as:

ECS S3 CloudWatch Lambda / Serverless technologies Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as: Dynatrace Splunk New Relic Datadog Experience working with Kong, Apigee, or API gateway platforms. Exposure to micro front-end architectures. Experience with NoSQL databases. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices.
