Full Stack Developer (Java/Python)#26-09581 Pennington, NJ Onsite Contract Starts 9/28/2026 Ends 9/30/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Full Stack Developer (Java/Python) for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with strong experience in Java and/or Python, and expertise in event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, working across both frontend and backend layers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and performant systems.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications (frontend + backend) Build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django) Develop and maintain event-driven systems using Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, streams) Work with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability Implement CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps processes Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other developers Perform code reviews, testing (unit/integration), and debugging Ensure security best practices andpliance standards

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience in software development Strong experience in Java and/or Python backend development Strong experience in Apache Kafka / messaging systems Solid understanding of RESTful APIs Solid understanding of distributed systems & microservices architecture Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or similar) Proficiency with Git, version control Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) Desired skills: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
