Gain America Inc. Job Summary We are seeking energetic and motivated Junior to Mid-Level Software Developers to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions that power innovative applications across various platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams utilizing Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality products efficiently. Responsibilities Participate actively in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. Develop and enhance web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as React or Express, ensuring responsive and user-friendly interfaces. Design, implement, and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless communication between services and external systems. Contribute to system design discussions focused on scalability, performance, and security, applying best practices and design patterns. Collaborate within Agile teams to plan sprints, review code, and continuously improve development processes. Utilize version control tools like Git or SVN to manage codebases effectively and ensure smooth collaboration. Deploy applications on cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, ensuring high availability and scalability of solutions. Skills Solid understanding of software engineering principles including system design for scalable systems and microservices architecture. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or C, with a focus on web development and application development. Experience working with REST APIs, RESTful services, and integrating third-party APIs for enhanced functionality. Knowledge of SQL databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL for data storage and retrieval; familiarity with cloud database services is a plus. Hands-on experience with front-end development using JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular; understanding of

HTML/CSS

is beneficial. Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins for automated testing and deployment. Understanding of Linux environments, version control systems (Git), and containerization technologies such as Docker is advantageous. Awareness of security best practices including RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and secure API design to protect sensitive information. Required Technical Experience:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong expertise in Java, .NET, PHP, or Drupal
• Experience with enterprise web applications, APIs, and integrations
• Solid database experience (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
• Experience with version control and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, etc.)
• Ability to independently handle complex development tasks

Preferred Experience:

• Prior State or Federal government project experience
• Knowledge of security, compliance, or data governance standards
• Experience mentoring junior developers or providing technical guidance

Pay:
