Job Description

Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build scalable, high-performance platforms that power automotive retail and media experiences. In this role, you'll design and implement cloud-native services, APIs, and data integrations supporting products like Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book. You'll write clean, testable code, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, UX, and data teams to deliver secure, resilient solutions. You'll champion DevOps, CI/CD, and observability practices while contributing to architectural decisions that shape the future of automotive technology and connected customer experiences worldwide. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications and services for automotive media and retail platforms. Implement and optimize RESTful APIs, integrations, and data workflows across Cox Automotive brands. Write clean, testable, and well-documented code with strong unit, integration, and automated tests. Collaborate with product, UX, data, and architecture teams to define technical solutions and deliver features end-to-end. Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering best practices and standards. Improve performance, reliability, security, and observability of critical services in production. Contribute to architectural decisions involving microservices, event-driven patterns, and cloud infrastructure. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and monitoring dashboards. Work within Agile/Scrum teams, participating in planning, estimation, and continuous improvement. Stay current with emerging technologies and propose innovations that enhance Cox Automotive's platforms. Required Skills Java C# or .
