Your main responsibilities include:
+ Evaluate customer inquiries, specifications, and operating requirements to define the technical and commercial scope of proposed high-purity water treatment solutions. + Develop conceptual system designs and perform preliminary engineering calculations to support equipment sizing, selection, and estimating. + Prepare detailed cost estimates and identify value-engineered alternatives that optimize system performance, cost, and overall customer value. + Research and evaluate equipment and component options based on technical suitability, availability, lead time, and pricing. + Explore innovative approaches to customer application challenges and recommend practical, technically sound solutions. + Partner with Sales to determine the best path forward for Grundfos-proposed solutions and align the technical and commercial strategy presented to the customer. + Participate in customer meetings, including pre-bid discussions, bid reviews, and technical-clarification meetings, to provide technical support alongside Sales. + Gather, analyze, and maintain equipment and system costing data to support the development of standardized estimating libraries. + Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations and coordinate with Purchasing to establish accurate material costs, availability, and lead times. + Review customer purchase orders to confirm alignment with the proposed scope, pricing, and established project budget. + Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical and commercial turnover packages to Project Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing. + Lead technical review and turnover meetings to communicate project requirements and confirm the scope of supply with downstream teams. What makes you a great fit Above all, you are a technically sharp engineer with strong customer-facing communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for solving complex high-purity water system challenges. We would also imagine that you have: + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline + 5+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales support, or system design. + Strong understanding of high-purity water treatment processes, system hydraulics, sanitary design principles, and high-purity water-quality requirements. + Proficiency with engineering selection and sizing tools and ability to read technical drawings and specifications It is a plus if you also: + Experience with Grundfos product lines or comparable water technology platforms + Familiarity with building services, water utility, or industrial process applications + Professional Engineer (PE) license or working toward certification Why you will love working here + A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support. + Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities. + Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering in your community. + Access to on-demand training and learning sessions and carefully structured programs to pursue personal and professional development opportunities. The salary range for this position is $ 70,000.00 - $94,000.00. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate's profile. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. The salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in this region.
