As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Consumer and Community Branch workplace technology team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. Job responsibilities Partners and collaborates with product, architecture, security and operations teams prioritize reliability and embed best practices across the software development lifecycle to improve operations across the Branch Products. Lead and develop resilient software solutions that improve reliability, scalability and system performance of the Branch Systems. Leads evaluation sessions with external and internal teams to outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture. Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software development concepts and 5+ years applied experience, SRE/DevOps, platform engineer, or similar Proficiency in operating and managing cloud-based services using IaC or EaC (infrastructure as code, environment as code Terraform or similar) in AWS Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Proficient in utilizing observability tooling Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Datadog etc. Advanced in programming in Java and Python technologies Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods/patterns Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Fluent in English Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills AWS Certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect Associate) Experienced in SRE/DevOps practices (SLA/SLOs, error budgets, MTTR, MTTD). Knowledge of RAG architectures and Exposure to AI/Automation technologies that improve operations. Knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
