Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Integrate component services to produce a cohesive and technically sound service solution proposal for Vertiv customers by providing technical support and customized service options. Individual will work closely with key ERS and Vertiv Services stakeholders to create professional service and commissioning services proposals. Provide initial Request for Proposal (RFP) review to identify suitability to our business and plan actions necessary to successfully bid and compete. Support the commissioning portfolio through efficient and effective quoting based on international standard specifications for building electrical, HVAC and controls systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primarily Support Bid Center and Complex Project Management Team by developing NETA Testing Proposals for Large Projects Apply Quote Configurator tool to provide comprehensive quote support to the ERS and HVM sales team. Produce customized service proposals/quotations ensuring proposal reflects proper scope, required technical specifications, NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Specifications, and Vertiv profitability requirements. Individual will work closely with key ERS and Vertiv Services stakeholders to create professional service solution proposals. Support sales of Service portfolio through efficient and effective quoting based on international standard specifications for electrical power equipment & systems. Provide initial RFP review to identify suitability to our business and plan actions necessary to successfully bid and compete. As required, responsible for supporting
Commissioning Group:
Work with ERS commissioning personnel to develop clear, concise, and technically sound commissioning proposals for customer review and acceptance based on customer requirements and/or RFP's. Apply Quote Configurator tool to provide comprehensive quote support to the commissioning team. Produce customized service proposals/quotations ensuring proposal reflects proper scope, required technical specifications, and Vertiv profitability requirements. Apply application commissioning and engineering competencies to identify and recommend applicable service requirements. Work with commissioning management team to define incremental scope and develop service solutions proposals based on the key findings and recommendations raised during system audits, professional assessments and/or mechanical and electrical testing.
QUALIFICATIONS BS
degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical), or equivalent experience. Fluent English written, and verbal required including electrical and mechanical terminology. Essential knowledge of international standards such as NFPA 70E, IEEE and
ANSI/NETA.
Candidate must have experience with Medium and Low Voltage Electrical distribution systems and equipment. Experience with high voltage and/or electrical substations is a plus. Must have the ability to read and interpret building construction drawings and specifications, including electrical schematics and one-line diagrams, and HVAC drawings, including equipment schedules. Broad knowledge of Building HVAC and Mechanical systems a plus. Knowledge of ASHRAE standards a plus. Collaborative skills, detail-oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent problem-solving abilities and capable of resolving contract and product issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat. Team player with outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Needs to have a strong understanding of electrical and HVAC infrastructure design objectives, performance factors, and physical requirements. Strong attention to details and effective written and verbal communication. Multitasking.
