Contract Position Summary "Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking an experienced Geospatial Solution Architect to lead the design and integration of enterprise-grade geospatial solutions using ArcGIS Enterprise . This role sits at the intersection of GIS and enterprise IT, focusing on building scalable, integrated solutions that connect geospatial platforms with business systems, APIs, and cloud services. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on technical leader who can translate complex business requirements into robust GIS architectures. Key Responsibilities Transportation Focus Interpret federal and state transportation GIS mandates (e.g., HPMS, MIRE, ARNOLD) and translate them into technical solutions Apply best practices for enterprise transportation GIS design, governance, and lifecycle management System Architecture & Design Design and document end-to-end geospatial solutions using ArcGIS Enterprise Develop scalable architecture frameworks, integration patterns, and technical roadmaps Define reusable GIS service patterns aligned with enterprise architecture standards Support cloud migration, performance monitoring, and optimization initiatives Develop and maintain geospatial data models, geodatabases, and LRS-enabled datasets Provide technical direction for integrating GIS with enterprise platforms and analytics tools Enterprise Integration Implement integration patterns including REST, SOAP, APIs, ETL/ELT, and messaging systems Build and maintain APIs, data pipelines, and middleware solutions Utilize tools such as ArcGIS REST
API, Python, FME, and webhooks for automation Enable real-time and batch data exchange using modern integration tools Ensure secure and compliant integrations in collaboration with IT and security teams Develop automated workflows and geoprocessing services Collaboration & Leadership Partner with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and architects Lead technical workshops and design sessions Provide guidance to stakeholders on GIS integration strategies Innovation & Strategy Evaluate emerging GIS technologies and transportation data solutions Contribute to GIS roadmap, modernization, and data governance initiatives Lead proof-of-concept and pilot projects Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Transportation Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of experience designing and implementing GIS solutions using ArcGIS Enterprise Strong experience in enterprise system integration (APIs, data interoperability, system orchestration) Advanced knowledge of ArcGIS stack: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Server, Datastore), ArcGIS Online Proficiency in spatial data modeling and enterprise geodatabases (PostgreSQL, SQL
Server) Experience with automation using Python, ArcPy, and geoprocessing services Experience integrating GIS with transportation or infrastructure-related systems Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and spatial data security Familiarity with transportation reporting standards and asset management practices Experience with enterprise GIS modernization or cloud initiatives Understanding of Agile/Scrum or IT project methodologies Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Preferred Qualifications GISP (GIS Professional Certification) Esri Technical Certifications (Enterprise System Design, ArcGIS API Developer, etc.) Agile/Scrum certifications For more details reach atAbout Navitas Partners, LLC:
