10-15 years overall | 3 5 years on Snowflake Role Summary We are hiring a Data Engineering Tech Lead (L4) to lead hands-on delivery of Snowflake-based data platforms in enterprise and regulated environments. This role combines technical execution, team leadership, and module-level architecture ownership. This is a lead-by-doing role, ideal for senior data engineers ready to own delivery quality and technical design. Key Responsibilities Architecture & Design Develop and maintain logical and physical data models, data flow diagrams, and technical design documents Own source-to-target mappings and ensure traceability from design to implementation Contribute to canonical data models and schema harmonization decisions Delivery & Technical Leadership Lead hands-on implementation of Bronze / Silver / Gold data layers on Snowflake Translate architecture into executable designs and guide day-to-day engineering work Review code and pipelines to ensure quality, performance, and standards adherence Mentor engineers and ensure delivery timelines and outcomes Platform & Security Implementation Implement Snowflake RBAC, role hierarchies, and least-privilege access controls Align with platform teams on network and access control considerations Support baseline governance such as data quality checks and lineage enablement Stakeholder Interaction Act as the primary technical contact for delivery discussions Proactively identify risks, assumptions, and data issues Required Skills & Experience Strong experience in data engineering and Snowflake Hands-on expertise in SQL and Python Experience with data modeling and medallion architecture Ability to produce TDDs, data models, mappings, and flow diagrams Experience leading teams in client-facing delivery environments Good to Have Exposure to pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments Familiarity with GMP / FDA-aligned data expectations such as auditability and traceability Experience working with ERP, manufacturing, supply chain, or quality data Soft Skills Strong ownership and accountability mindset Clear communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders Proactive, structured, and delivery-focused approach L4 Role Boundary Owns module-level design and implementation Leads engineering delivery and quality Does not own enterprise-wide architecture or long-term platform strategy
