Job Description
- Develop and design technical solutions based on business and functional requirements for SWP Data Governance Frameworks, including Data Archive & Purge, Masking, and Data Sub-setting.
- Define and implement data governance patterns covering archive, purge, masking, data sub-setting, retention, lineage, metadata, and auditability.
- Lead technical design reviews and provide architectural direction for scalable, secure, and maintainable data governance solutions.
- Partner with data architects, platform teams, security, operations, and business stakeholders to validate solution designs and delivery approaches.
- Build validation, reconciliation, exception handling, and monitoring controls to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
- Support operational readiness through runbooks, support procedures, production monitoring, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Produce high-quality code that meets project deadlines and ensures functionality aligns with documented requirements.
- Analyze and resolve issues identified during testing and pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle.
- Coordinate application changes with project team leaders and cross-functional team members.
- Provide technical leadership to project team members and respond to inquiries regarding application errors and technical issues.
- Suggest and implement process improvements for development and testing estimation and delivery processes.
- Ensure team designs and code align with published SEI and industry standards.
- Provide technical problem resolution and application support as required.
- Design and develop cloud-native applications and data solutions.
- Create and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake, DBT, and Airflow.
- Deploy and configure high-performing cloud-native applications.
- Support large-scale data flows using Oracle external tables and Oracle Data Pump.
- Implement secure data lifecycle practices covering masking, tokenization, encryption, access controls, PII handling, retention, and auditability. Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of prior experience working within an application development organization.
- Demonstrated experience delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation.
- Hands-on experience developing with PL/SQL, Java, Spring Boot, and shell scripting.
- Experience implementing and working with Kubernetes frameworks.
- Experience working with large data flows using Oracle external tables.
- Knowledge of Oracle Data Pump.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working on multi-tiered applications designed, developed, and delivered as cloud-based solutions.
- Experience with cloud data platforms and services, particularly Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, and Kubernetes.
- Experience designing and developing cloud-native applications.
- Experience creating data pipelines using Snowflake, DBT, and Airflow.
- Experience deploying and configuring well-performing cloud-native applications.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server.
- Experience with unstructured data and persistence models such as MongoDB and Snowflake.
- Experience with DevOps tools and technologies including Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and Maven.
- Experience with job orchestration tools such as Control-M and Apache Airflow.
- Experience with event and data streaming platforms such as Kafka.
- Experience with Spring MVC and Angular development.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, and API-first development.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Experience implementing data masking, tokenization, encryption, access controls, PII handling, and secure data lifecycle management. Preferred Qualifications
- Development experience in the financial services industry, including banking, wealth management, investment management, asset data, or investment processing.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or OCI certifications.
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience with application migrations to the cloud.
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps concepts.
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, and library management tools such as Artifactory.
- Strong understanding of audit, compliance, data retention, metadata management, and regulatory control requirements.
- Experience with identity technologies such as OAuth, Azure AD, AWS IAM, Okta, or Ping.
- Experience with Angular, TypeScript, or React.
