Engineering Interns must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline with a preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position Apply your classroom-learned skills to a program supporting the defense of our country. GDMS - Pittsburgh has openings for Dev-Ops Engineering Interns (2025) to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to work on projects that support some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with our core mission. In addition to receiving a competitive wage, the Engineering Intern will enhance their skill set by working among a talented and technically accomplished group of colleagues. This role will offer you the opportunity to: Integrate as a member of a Dev-Ops team and complete assigned tasks, that will nurture and expand your technical skills Learn systems in order to update information Enter data into various systems Research and document various data processes Abide by all safety procedures outlined by the company
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Java/J2EE, JavaScript, HTML and CSS Comfortable working with Visual Studios and Eclipse IDEs. Experienced with various Server Frameworks, DOM, and Java Web App Platform (Tomcat) Adept with Microsoft Office - especially Excel, Power-Point, and Word Comfortable working with Windows 7, 8, Mac OSX Mavericks (10.6+), and Linux
