Automation Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a hands-on Automation Engineer to support robotic laboratory operations and automation workflows within a life sciences environment. This role will focus on maintaining, programming, and optimizing integrated robotic systems that replicate laboratory bench workflows at scale. Key Responsibilities Operate and program automated laboratory systems, including robotic platforms and liquid handling instruments Support automation workflows, including assay development and execution in collaboration with scientific teams Troubleshoot and maintain: o Robotic systems o Liquid handlers o Integrated lab instrumentation Assist with automation software configuration (e.g., workflow scheduling platforms such as Momentum or equivalent) Partner with IT and engineering teams to support system integration and custom automation solutions Participate in: o Instrument validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) o Preventative maintenance coordination o Vendor documentation review Maintain system ownership responsibilities, including: o Access management o Instrument lifecycle tracking o Compliance adherence

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field Robotic Experience Hands-on experience with: o Laboratory automation systems o Liquid handling platforms Experience working in a lab operations environment

Pay:

$50.00 - $65.00 per hour
