  • Job Summary The Endpoint Engineer will actively contribute to endpoint operations under general direction.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to endpoint hardware and software deployment, patch management, configuration management, lifecycle management, consulting the Service Desk Manager on endpoint operations, assisting in the development and implementation of policy and procedures governing endpoint operations. Responsibilities Serve as a technical resource for endpoint operations addressing requests within service level agreements and defined security requirements. Maintain integrity and conduct approved changes to endpoint configuration and architecture. Conduct endpoint hardware, firmware, and software patch management. Conduct the deployment of endpoint hardware and software. Assist with endpoint lifecycle management to include identifying replacement hardware and the decommissioning of assets following established procedures. Maintain configuration management platforms and systems. Participate in incident management, service request fulfillment, change management, and asset management. Participate in establishing technical standards for endpoint systems and services. Create and maintain documentation for endpoint administration including topology, standards, and procedures. Implement and maintain relevant monitoring and reporting systems to align with established metrics and performance objectives. Participate in disaster recovery endpoint operations to meet RTOs and RPOs. Assist third party vendors for endpoint technology and services. Maintain working knowledge of IT operations and functions. Prepare and present pertinent project material. Participate in an on-call rotation. Work on special projects as needed. Other duties as assigned. Essential Requirements At least 6 months of employment with the York County IT department or 6 months of experience or training with IT endpoint administration. Familiar with Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft 365, configuration management, endpoint hardware, software deployment, and networking concepts. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and staff from other County departments. Able to perform effectively under pressure and in high-stress environments. Capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Proven team player with a collaborative mindset. Understanding of York County Government's operational model, processes, and strategic goals. Completion of a Pennsylvania Criminal Background check and fingerprinting, required for all employees in this role. Possession of a valid and current driver's license.
