Application Architect#26-06451 Charlotte, NC Chicago, IL Plano, TX Hybrid Right to Hire Starts 8/03/2026 Ends 8/02/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Solutions Architect for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, or Plano, TX. This is a contract to hire opportunity. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team delivering technology solution architecture for Global Payment Solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals. The architect will support key domains including Corporate Channels, Payments, Accounting Services, and Commercial Card. A hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite is required.
Responsibilities:
Define an architectural vision and solution architecture that aligns with business strategy, enterprise architecture principles, and technology platform choices Articulate the solution intent and operating environment, identify primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces, and define non-functional requirements Ensure solutions are fit for purpose by collaborating with stakeholders and vendors, while assessing the impact of strategic design decisions Work closely with both business and technology teams to shape the solution intent and architectural vision Rapidly develop high-level architecture designs, refining details as business requirements evolve; ensure designs are modular, flexible, and adaptable best practices, templates, and documentation standards to produce architectural designs Partner with Product Managers/Owners to plan and prioritize technology-focused backlog items for the architecture runway Provide clarity to development teams on architectural aspects, offering solution options to ovee impediments Conduct design reviews to confirm all non-functional requirements are met (e.g., security, performance, scalability, usability, reliability) Operate as an individual contributor
Requirements:
10+ years experience in Banking/Financial Services technology Strong Commercial Banking domain knowledge in Corporate Payments, Commercial Card, Corporate Channels, Accounting Services, and Liquidity Management Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) Strong business partner engagement and end-to-end solution design experience Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences Strong understanding of application architecture in modern development languages, including Java, .NET (C#), Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) Expertise in API design, microservices, and integration platforms Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Broad IT knowledge, including financial software, middleware, and databases Analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving, and innovative mindset Desired skills: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/related field or related work experience TOGAF 9 Certified Cloud Solutions Architect Certification (AWS, Azure, GCP) Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
