PAY RANGE
Base $75,000 plus uncapped commissions (OTE $100,000+)
SHIFT:
This is Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Hybrid• with frequent travel (no overnights). •This person does not need to sit at the Hudson Branch location as there is flexibility, but must live in Massachusetts and willing and able to travel to multiple branches and site visits.
ROLE SUMMARY
As a Business Developer at Riverview Landscapes, you will be instrumental in driving our organic growth strategy by acquiring new contract opportunities through outbound B2B sales efforts in your assigned territory of Massachusetts. Our target is to consistently grow organically at our current branches by 20% annually. The primary focus of this role is to establish relationships with new potential customers in our target markets and generate Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for new landscape and snow contracts. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Pipeline Management :
Consistently build and manage your pipeline of prospective commercial customers within the Massachusetts market. Establish and maintain your CRM to track outreach and sales conversions.
Outbound Sales :
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through outbound sales efforts to generate RFPs for landscaping and snow management services.
Proposal Development :
Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals and presentations in response to RFPs, showcasing the value proposition of Riverview Landscapes.
Market Research :
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential areas for business expansion.
Networking :
Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote Riverview Landscapes and establish a strong presence in the market.
Sales Reporting :
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outbound sales activities, client interactions, and market feedback. Provide regular reports to the leadership team.
Relationship Maintenance :
After winning an RFP, the new customer will be transitioned to being managed by our local branch performing the contract. However, you will be checking in to maintain the ongoing relationship and foster referrals to other potential customers.
Collaborative Selling :
Building trust and credibility with all branches. Working with branches to ensure the right client is being targeted.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or related field preferred 3-5 years of proven sales experience and success, preferably in the landscaping or related industry. Industry knowledge of the landscaping industry and landscaping software is preferred Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets Industry knowledge in landscaping and snow management services Experience managing a pipeline and activities in CRM Experience solution selling by identifying a customers problem and creating solutions tailored to each client Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey the value proposition of Riverview Landscapes Strong networking skills Entrepreneurial spirit to thrive in a dynamic growth environment
