Job Title:
Controls EngineerJob Description This local custom machine builder is looking for controls engineer who will be developing, and commissioning controls systems from cradle to grave, along with troubleshooting and resolving machine issues and keeping projects on track. Looking for a motivated self starter who enjoys working in a fast paced environment. 25% travel + 3-5 day trips typically, scheduled in advance + No weekend travel, m-f only + All expenses paid Flexible work hours + Can have some work from home flexibility if communicated Responsibilities + Design, develop, and program PLC based control systems + Configure, program, and integrate HMI applications to provide intuitive operator interfaces and effective system monitoring. + Commission control systems, including start-up, testing, tuning, and validation + Troubleshoot and resolve machine control system issues + Support electrical and robotics integration activities as part of the overall automation solution, coordinating with cross-functional teams as needed. + Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience in the automation industry + Hands on experience with PLC programming + Robotics experience is preferred but not required Work Environment Highly collaborative, with approximately 10 other Controls Engineers on the programming team and three supervisors providing guidance and support. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Walker, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
