Akkodis is seeking a Custom Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in St. Petersburg, FL (Remote) . The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Java, Oracle, and Enterprise Application Development, along with a proven ability to design and deliver scalable software solutions.

Rate Range:

$68/hour to $70/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Custom Software Engineer job responsibilities include: Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Oracle, and modern development frameworks. Build scalable and high-performing software components that align with business and technical requirements. Develop and support applications utilizing Spring Boot , RESTful services, and Oracle database technologies. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and application solutions. Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, QA teams, and developers to deliver successful project outcomes. Troubleshoot complex application issues and implement solutions that improve system reliability, scalability, and performance. Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, code reviews, testing, and deployment support.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field. 5+ years of experience with: Java Development Oracle Database Development Enterprise Application Development Advanced proficiency in Spring Boot .

Strong experience with:

Java, Oracle, SQL & PL/SQL, REST APIs, Application Development, Software Design & Development. Experience working within Agile software development environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Oracle Applications PL/SQL . Strong client communication and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of Digital Banking platforms and financial services applications. Experience supporting large-scale enterprise software implementations. Familiarity with cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
