Job Description

Badger Industries , a division of Markovitz Enterprises, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated candidate for our Zelienople, PA location.
Overview :
An area leader in the design and fabrication of fabric and metal bellows expansion joints is searching for a qualified candidate for the position of Design/Application Engineer. The successful candidate will review project specifications, generate initial bid designs, coordinate post-award design details, and provide technical liaison with our clients.
Key Responsibilities :
On-site position. Remote or Hybrid work arrangements are not available. Create detailed design specifications for fabric and metal bellows expansion joints, including design calculations and technical drawings with computer-aided design (AutoCAD and SolidWorks). Analyze and select appropriate materials based on application requirements, environmental conditions, and performance criteria. Provide technical support to sales and production teams, assisting with client inquiries and project specifications. Evaluate customer needs and recommend optimal expansion joint solutions for various industrial applications. Work closely with sales, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to facilitate product development and improve existing designs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools. Strong technical background with excellent written and oral communication skills. Problem solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly. Familiarity with piping fabrication methods.
Preferred Skills:
At least 2 years of experience in the analysis and design of piping/ducting systems. Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM) related to expansion joints and pressure vessels.
