Position Overview:
BLN24 is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of AWS GovCloud environments. This role will work closely with development, QA, and security teams to support cloud infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure secure and reliable system operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of AWS GovCloud environments Assist in deploying applications and services across non-production and production environments Provision and configure AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, and networking components Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Puppet) Help develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform Configure and troubleshoot AWS networking components, including ALBs, listeners, and security groups Monitor system performance and logs using tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, or New Relic Troubleshoot issues and support incident resolution under guidance Support system patching, upgrades, and environment maintenance Assist with security and compliance activities, including system hardening, and ATO documentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and environment stability Contribute to technical documentation, including environment configurations and diagrams
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance 1-3 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, system administration, or a related field Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) Basic understanding of DevOps principles and cloud infrastructure Hands-on or academic experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM) Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Puppet) Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) Basic understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, load balancers, security groups) Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell) Understanding of REST APIs and service integration concepts Experience with version control systems such as Git Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, Agile environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to AWS GovCloud environments Familiarity with containerization or orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, EKS) Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Splunk, New Relic) Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP) Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Security+) What BLN24 brings to the
