Enterprise Applications Co-Op

Description Central Garden & Pet has an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Applications Co-op Position based in either Bingham Farms, MI or Schaumburg, IL. During their tenure, the candidate will work within several functional areas including: Supply Chain, Finance Technology, Analytics and Business integration. This role has significant responsibilities related to designing, developing, and supporting mobile, web, and desktop applications that interface with the core business systems utilized at the company. In addition to obtaining and developing technical and functional experience, it is our goal to develop the candidate's leadership skills, teamwork and fostering an overall collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate has a love for technology, solving problems and supporting their academic studies with continual learning.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

Must be able to research application frameworks and develop new cross-platform tools utilizing those frameworks. Create high-level design documents with visual diagrams of system architecture, functionality, and process flows. Design testing procedures to support end-to-end documented testing of proposed changes. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment. Provide support for existing production applications, quickly resolving issues while also performing root cause analysis leading to corrective action to prevent future problems.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

Some practical experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Java / C / C++ / Python / JavaScript. Understanding of Git. Excellent communication skills and writing skills. Ability to work independently and proactively within tight, concurrent deadlines with accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

This is a hybrid position based out of either our Bingham Farms, MI or Schaumburg, IL office

POSITION INFORMATION

The starting pay is $24.00 per hour, but may be higher, depending on experience
