Java Lead Developer - Hybrid#26-05587 Pennington, NJ Plano, TX 40% Remote Contract Starts 6/01/2026 Ends 6/04/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Lead Developer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are seeking a seasoned Java Lead Developer to drive the development of enterprise-grade microservices and high-volume data pipelines. You will lead a team of talented engineers, setting the standard for code craftsmanship while collaborating with Solution Architects to turn business requirements into technical reality. This is a role for someone who still loves to code but also has the vision to lead a team throughplex release cycles.

Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end delivery ofplex features, from initial design through to deployment Conduct rigorous code reviews, establish best practices, and mentor junior/senior developers to elevate the team's overall technical maturity Work closely with Architects to design scalable, cloud-native microservices using Spring Boot and Event-Driven architectures Take ownership of system performance, ensuring low-latency and high-throughput for critical business applications Drive the adoption of modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD automation, containerization, and robust monitoring

Requirements:

10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2-3 years in a lead or supervisory capacity Deep expertise in Core Java (17/21), including advanced multithreading, concurrency, and memory management Expert-level knowledge of the Spring Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data) Proven experience implementing distributed messaging systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ Hands-on experience with AWS (or Azure/GCP) and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes Proficiency in RDBMS (Postgre

SQL, SQL
